I grew up in a Christian home. I started going to Sunday School and church at
a young age. The church we attended was in High German so I couldn't
understand much.
At the age of 12 I attended VBS and that is where my teacher led me to the
Lord. I continued to grow in my Christian life. Most of my friends at
school were Christians and so I didn't get in with the wrong crowd.
My older brother attended Bible School at Millar School of the Bible and when he
would come home on weekends I saw such great changes in his life that I
decided that was what I would do too. I attended the same Bible School from
1982 to 1984. I gained a lot of knowledge because I hadn't understood much
of the German.
When I finished Bible School, my parents moved into town.
I decided that I just wasn't getting fed spiritually so I started attending
a different church. My parents couldn't understand why I left the German
church especially since I got baptized there at the age of 17. I remained
at the new church and transferred my membership.
When I was in my late teens I told my mother that I would rather go into full
time ministry instead of working at a secular job. To me that was much more
rewarding. I worked at summer camps as a counselor and really enjoyed it.
In 1989 I felt the Lord calling me to full time ministry work in BC for Canadian
Sunday School Mission, (CSSM). I worked there for almost 2 years.
This was where I met my husband Dennis and we were married in June of 1991.
We stayed in BC for awhile.
In July of 1999 we moved back to Saskatoon where I worked for my brother and sister-in-law running a Care Home. I injured my back lifting a resident and
so the doctor advised me to find other work. I am now starting my own business
in desktop publishing. I am volunteering with WTM. I am working on the
Reflection committee doing the layout and other duties.

Due to the fact that I was only 6 years of age when I asked Christ to be my
Lord and Saviour, I don't remember the exact time, place or details but I do
know that it occurred. I know this because of the re-assurance He has often
given me and because of the inner joy and peace I have.
I saw in a recent issue of Reflections that the Western Tract Mission wanted
volunteers to help with their web site. I believe the Lord has given me a
gift doing that type of work and I had a lot of time on my hands so I wrote
in and I am thrilled that they accepted me.
There is absolutely no greater
joy than to know your efforts are accomplishing eternal good. My
'encouragement tank' had been quite low but I found that when you give the
little that you have, God multiplies it greatly. My desire is to be an
encouragement to other Christians and to be instrumental in leading others
to Jesus Christ. Volunteering for WTM gives me the opportunity to fulfill
both of those desires.
"Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your calling and
election sure, for if you do these things, you will never stumble."
II Peter 1:10.
