     It was a very hard day for Jesus.
     He went with His disciples to
     Jerusalem to eat the special Passover
     meal. But when they went into the room
     where they were going to eat, no one     was ready to wash their dirty feet. The disciples argued about this, but Jesus knelt down and washed their feet himself!

When they ate the Passover meal, Jesus told his friends that the bread was His body and the wine his blood. The disciples didn't understand this. Then He told them that one of them would betray Him. They were surprised and shocked. But Judas left to tell Jesus' enemies where He was.

Jesus and the other disciples sang a hymn and then went to a nearby garden. Jesus was sad and upset, and he prayed late into the night. His disciples fell asleep. The Judas, followed by Jesus' enemies, came. They captured Him, and all the rest of the disciples ran away.
