"God loves a cheerful giver." I wish we could have a video of all the faces that were there when the widow gave her mite. In the Bible we read, "So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury: for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood." Mark 12:43-44.

Did the widow just casually walk by trying to be unseen? Western Tract Mission has many that give to the mission and many that give out the Gospel through literature, most of these people are unseen.

I was so blessed when a few young boys came into the WTM office and bought some tracts to hand out. After questioning them they said that this was 10% of their earnings and that they were buying tracts to hand out locally. Sarah told me that she puts tracts and scriptures in the birthday, Christmas and other cards that she sends out. Myrtle gives out tracts where she does business, eats out or other places that she can. I have given or sent out thousands of tracts but found hospital recipients the most receptive. When I returned to visit one patient I found that the angels had been rejoicing in heaven because he had prayed a prayer of repentance.

"Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever." Daniel 12:3. We can be wise in many things but this verse says that we need to be wise in the things that produce "diamonds" that "shine like the brightness" and "turn many to righteousness, as stars forever and ever." WTM is committed to offering Christians the tools to do this work.
