Prayer
When you think of supporting Western Tract Mission, do you think, "I'd love to
support you but I have nothing to give?" Perhaps you have forgotten the supreme value
and effectiveness of prayer.
Jesus, before a full day of ministry, got up early to prepare in prayer on the
mountain. After a long and busy day of service to multitudes, He drew apart
again to debrief with his Heavenly Father. Jesus also stopped to pray in the
midst of His work, such as when he called Lazarus forth out of the grave.
Our leadership and staff knew that our ministry improved when we deliberately
prayed.
We began an annual Day of Prayer three years ago. Each department listed specific
requests, and then that request was prayed over by someone present. Because we
wrote down those requests, and reviewed them the following year, we could rejoice
at specific answers to prayer.
Our next Day of Prayer is November 23, 2002, and we encourage you to come take
part. It is a vital way of supporting our ministry. Your prayers do not have
to be eloquent, just sincere and believing.
The director and staff of WTM meet to pray weekly on Wednesday mornings at
10:45am. If you live in Saskatoon or area you are welcome to join us.
The Mission produces a monthly Praise and Prayer Report. It is sent by email
on the first of every month, and lists current praise and prayer items, along
with announcements. Go to Praise and Prayer Report. Use the form to subscribe to the mailing list. If you would prefer, we can
use the postal service to get these requests to you.
You do have something to give, don't you?
