It always is a privilege to work with the people that God leads to be involved
on the Board of Western Tract Mission. They seem to come with new ideas and
enthusiasm. They ask questions; and answers are given. These questions cause
all of us to evaluate and understand our Mission better. They also prompt us
to look back on history, ask why we do the things we do, and question whether
something is out-dated, still necessary or if there is a better way? This
year we had the privilege of accepting two new board members at the Annual
Meeting.
Ed Buhler returned after a leave of a few years. His heart is still with
the mission. It is his belief that Western Tract Mission is a great mission and
has done a great job of fulfilling the "Great Commission" which Jesus commanded
just before He went to be with His Father in heaven.
We also welcomed Carolyn Loewen, to the Board. She has seen the great
potential of a mission like Western Tract Mission, during her husband Archie's
term as chairman of the Board. Her willingness, energy and boundless enthusiasm
will benefit our mission. These two people have very different personalities
and character. We are thankful for them and know that with their help we will
be able to work even more effectively in our job of fulfilling the
"Great Commission."
