We all miss Lynne Fraser, a 10 year volunteer and head of the Mailbox and
correspondence Department. Our Mission earnestly thanks all who contributed
at her funeral on October 11, to a Memorial Gift of $750.
If you wish to do so, you may still send a gift in memory of Lynne. We know
she had many dear friends among our students as a recent survey has shown.
Lynne Alice Fraser (nee Coates) died at her home in Dalmeny, SK on October 8,
2003, surrounded by her loving family. Lynne is survived by her husband, David,
and two sons, Shawn and Cameron.
Lynne and David were married August 26, 1972. They moved to various locations
in Saskatchewan with David's employment at SaskTel, their last move being to
Dalmeny. Lynne was devoted to her family and chose to remain at home to raise
her children rather than continuing with her career at SaskTel.
Lynne worked for more than ten years as a volunteer at Western Tract Mission
in Saskatoon, and was in charge of the Correspondence Department the last six
of those years. We still have students write to say how special her notes and
letters were to them.
Lynne loved gardening and spent many hours lovingly tending flowers in her
backyard. During the winter months Lynne enjoyed cross-stitch. She has done
many pieces for family and friends.
In the spring of 2001, Lynne was faced with the formidable obstacle of cancer.
But as with all things in life, She faced this with courage and her tremendous
faith in God, whom she knew would never fail her.
While we miss Lynne, we do not grieve as those who have no hope, because we
know a glorious reunion awaits us in heaven. Lynne's family expresses their
sincere appreciation to all who have supported them in thought, prayer and deed
through this most difficult time.
