The Soup & Pie Supper
Our Soup and Pie supper last year was such a popular fundraiser that we were
eager to try it again. This time we made arrangements to use a city church,
the Lawson Heights Alliance Church to make it more convenient for seniors in
Saskatoon. Our Supper was held on February 6, 4-8 pm.
Instead of a church group catering for us, our own Board and staff members,
and friends pitched in to bring the soups and pies and do the work.
The attendance was much less than anticipated. 102 instead of the 300 we
prepared to serve, however, the donations were up and we were able to realize
$4995 before expenses. For this we praise God.
We are grateful to all who took part. May God bless you richly!

The Third Annual Saskatchewan Cyclathon
|
We are participating again under the organizational auspices of The Cycling
Connection, a ministry based in Abbotsford, B.C. This takes place in the
greater Saskatoon area on July 10 - 11, and is open to cyclists wanting to
raise funds for any of a number of ministries.
Cyclists will have the option of cycling 50 kms or 100 kms on the Saturday,
and then cycling another 100 kms on Sunday.
Get your registration forms from our office, or from The Cycling Connection.
You don't necessarily have to ride in Saskatchewan. If you prefer, you can ride
in Fraser Valley, British Columbia (July 17-18), Southern Alberta (July 24-25),
Rocky Mountain Ride (July 31-August 2), or Vancouver Island (September 1-8).
Which ever ride you choose, simply indicate that you want the funds from your
sponsors to go to Western Tract Mission.
These Rides are a spiritual retreat and opportunity for new friendships for
serious cyclists, who want to partner with a ministry like ours. The local
contact person is Ruth Friesen, at 225-2138, or
email her.
