Mark it on your calendar. June 11. It's the highlight of our year! You are heartily
invited to join us in the second Annual Mark Jenkins' Memorial Walk-Jog-Cyclathon along the beautiful Meewasin Trail beside the river in Saskatoon. If walking seems too difficult come with your scooter, baby buggy, bicycle, whatever! Bring the WHOLE family for a morning walk
and a barbecue in the park.
Please, contact our office or staff for pledge sheets so you may raise as much money as you can from your friends and relatives who sponsor you. Like last year there will be prizes for the most monies raised. Maybe you will be the top Fundraiser! The money raised will go for a new Children's tract this year.
The Soup & Pie Fundraiser on Febuary 4, despite bad weather, raised about $1,400 after expenses. Hearty thanks to those who shared.
A Budget Update from the Board
To our faithful readers and supporters:
Many of you probably would like to hear about the results of last year's letter that I wrote. To refresh your memory, I mentioned that if each person that is on our mailing list would donate 40 dollars our whole budget for the new year would be taken care of.
Here are the results: 15 donors sent $40 and many more sent in more than $40. In total, about $9,089 dollars have come in from that letter. This represents about 10% of our budget. About 25% of the year is gone. If you would like to consider helping the mission to reach its goal, you may still do so. God bless, and thank you from the Board.
