Appreciation Tea Report
|
September 11 was a cool, damp Sunday afternoon, when a number of people gathered in the meeting room
at WTM, to honour those who participated in the Walkathon in June. Our third annual Appreciation
Tea.
|
We were treated to special music from the children of the Derksen family from Rosthern between
various program items.
Ribbons were given to each family who had some part in the Walk-Jog-Cycle for Jesus held on June 11.
Here the Blackmore sisters receive their ribbon.

Two new tracts were dedicated with special reports and prayers. One wasHigh Cost of Peer
Pressure by Barbara Jenkins. It was paid for by last year's Walkathon. The other one dedicated
was another children's tract called, From Fright to Freedom, by Walter Andres.
The fund raised allowed us to reprint The Devil's No. 1 Angel, which is our most popular
tract. The one we are always run out of the quickest.
When the short program was completed, coffee and refreshments were served to all present, and sweet
fellowship flowed freely.
