Each issue of Reflections comes to you through the work of a number of volunteers. This issue we
are going to let you have a small peek at how in about half a day they can get 3000 copies of this
issue, collated, labled with addresses, taped shut, and sorted into postal codes.
|
Here the ladies on one side of the room are collating the page sheets into the right sequence.
|
|
Anna Kroeker, of the Reflections committee, helps the men as they carefully place the address
labels on the back page.
|
|
Along the far side of the room some of the volunteers put the Reflections that are to be mailed out
of the country into manila envelopes, and add the address labels.

Helen Klassen is the one who first phones volunteers when another issue is ready to go out. She
prepares all the address label sheets, and counts, and sorts the Reflections to make sure the
boxes and bins full of our newsletter are really ready for the post office.
|
Since postage for bulk mailings must all be done online now, there are some new problems, Helen
spends a lot of time negotiating with Canada Post. We invite you to help us pray about this
situation so that the process can become much smoother.
We are very grateful for our list of 25-30 volunteers, who cheerfully show up when it is Reflections
collating day. The room hums with friendly chatter while they work around the tables.
Besides our Mailbox graders, and Board and committee members, who are all volunteers, there are
other behind-the-scenes jobs that volunteers can do. One idea would be for those who could come do a
thorough cleaning of the building, and make minor repairs. Another is for those who could find
property owners to request Scripture signs, (billboard size) and help put them up. Call us to ask
about membership and volunteering.
