Tract Review: Jesus Loves Eliza

Jesus Loves Eliza

This brand new tract for children and families has been a long time in coming. It was initially written about two years ago by Walter Andres of Rosthern, but has had delays while we sought a good artist or designer to help prepare it for printing.

It is a long brochure type of tract that folds out to tell the story of a foster girl who wakes up to nightmares. Her foster mom comes to comfort her and tells her that Jesus loves her.

Ten-year-old Eliza has been told to fear the Bible and has difficulty at first to accept this great truth - that Jesus really loves her and died for her to forgive her and give her comfort and peace.

The foster mom sings the lovely old children's song, Jesus Loves Me, to Eliza, and this especially helps her to desire and receive Christ.

Although you may not hear that song very often any more, it has ministered to many people in many countries for over one hundred years and is in the public domain, so this tract offers the text and the story behind the writing of the song as a side-bar to this tract story.

Jesus Loves Eliza is a modern-looking tract, so you will not have to feel hesitant to give it to some child, or even some adult. It has warm and inviting graphics too, drawing the eyes in to read it.

We have included a response panel that can be sent in to Western Tract Mission for the free Bible lessons, so that the reader can be taught more about the Bible and about Jesus. However, we've been careful to place it so that the story and the part with the words to the song, and the story about the song, Jesus Loves Me, can be kept and treasured by the reader.

Remember, we publish tracts so that Christians may have resources for their witnessing and evangelism plans. We encourage you to contact us with your order for any quantity. More can easily be printed as needed. We suggest a donation of ten cents a copy to cover our printing costs.

Other new tracts and some newly designed older tracts are ready. Watch for more reviews, or check the website as we try to post them there.
